Sketchbook - Palm Springs Film Festival

This was the father of a family band (he, his wife, and their two sons) from Bolivia who preformed at the Palm Springs Film Festival. They had also composed the soundtrack to one of the films - if I can find their card, I will plug them because they were great.

He was an incredible artist and he signed the drawing for me :)

Sketchbook - Lady at a Coffee Bean

Vivian Lee 2012
I saw this woman at a Coffee Bean on Hollywood. She ordered a small Ice Blendz, took one sip, called over the barista to throw it away and had a new one made. She did this three times. She was outside and I was inside so I could never hear what she said.

Stills from my thesis film "Baseball Boogie"

Matt Groening, the creator of the Simpsons, funded my thesis film an animated film called "Baseball Boogie." It finally debuted for Matt this Friday and received the only critique of all selected 10 films:

"Sweet."

This film is a music video based on the true events of my father's  upbringing and the positive influence is silent and supportive father had on his baseball career. The song "Baseball Boogie" was recorded by my father in 1980 in Japan, where he spent 12 years playing for the Lotte Orions (now the Chiba Marines) after playing in the American Majors (Cardinals, Dodgers, Indians, Padres)

David Silverman, Leron Lee, me and Matt Groening!

"Obama Wins" 2008

I thought I would share some work from 4 years ago in the hopes that I will be doing another one very soon! OBAMA 2012.
"Obama Wins" Acrylic, 60" x 60"Painted in that epic fervor back in the winter 2008, this is one of the final pieces I created as an undergrad at UCLA before starting film school. It was included in the Undergraduate Juried Exhibition in February 2009. Here it is on display at the New Wight Gallery at the Broad Art Center. For more on the exhibition here.

"The Library" - Concept art for video game "Anabelle"

Some Photoshop work done for Larry Tuch's Video Game Concepts Class. A kid is knocked out at school and wakes up in a horror version of his school where there are gh-gh-gh-gh-ghosts!

Poster Art for "Playtime (Spielzeit)" a film by Lucas Mireles

Poster art for "Playtime (Spielzeit)" by UCLA director Lucas Mireles, done in Adobe Illustrator. Layout design by Adam Holmes. This film has screened at the Sundance Film Festival 2012 (International Shorts Competition), and the South by Southwest Film Festival 2012 (Narrative Shorts Competition) and the poster went too :-D! Look for it at the upcoming Dallas International Film Festival in April.

The poster was designed to be able to be printed on 1 sheet or 4 separate sheets, so they could be put up separately or paired or in the full bock. Pictured on the left is the director Lucas Mireles.
